The concert is organized as part of SAPA - A Festive Weekend to Celebrate Chiang Mai’s Contemporary Design + Craft Community

From January 17-19, 2024, Chiang Mai’s contemporary design + craft studios will join hands for a series of exhibitions, open studios, workshops, panel discussions + music performances to celebrate the growth of our community over the past several years.

The word “ซะป๊ะ” (Sapa) in the Northern dialect means “various” or “diverse” - you might use it to describe the broad offerings being sold at one of Thailand’s open-air markets.

Over the past years, designers from both within and outside of Chiang Mai have converged on our small city to establish or grow their creative practices. SAPA will be the first opportunity for this diverse group to come together as a collective and showcase the broad array of practices driving Chiang Mai’s creative scene into the future.

Sapa – มีกันแบบ “ซะป๊ะ” มากันเป็น สเปซ รวมตัวกันแบบ ซะป๊ะสเปซ กับงานสุดซะป๊ะดา (สัปดาห์) ที่รวมเอาผลงานและเรื่องราวของกลุ่มดีไซน์เนอร์เจียงใหม่ในจื้อ Sapa นำมาจัดแสดงและมีกิจกรรมที่นำพามาปะกับดีไซน์เนอร์ตัวเป็นๆว่าไผเป็นไผ

ตั้งแต่วันที่ 17-19 มกราคม 2568 เป็นการรวมตั๋วของสตูดิโอออกแบบและงานฝีมือฮ่วมสมัยของเจียงใหม่ร่วมกันจัดกิจกรรมเปิดให้เข้าชมสตูดิโอ, นิทรรศการ,เวิร์คช้อป รวมถึงการอู้มาฟังมุมมองของนักออกแบบ และมีการแสดงดนตรีสดม่วนๆแบบเกิบหาย

คำว่า “ซะป๊ะ” ในภาษาถิ่นทางเหนือ หมายถึง “หลากหลาย” หรือ “มากมาย” คำนี้อาจใช้อธิบายสถานการณ์ที่เราไปตลาดและพบเห็นร้านค้าหรือสินค้าที่มีมากมายหลากหลายจนน่าตื่นเต้น

ในช่วงหลายปีที่ผ่านมา นักออกแบบทั้งในและนอกเมืองเชียงใหม่ได้รวมตัวกันในพื้นที่เล็กๆ ของเราเพื่อสร้างและขยายช่องทางงานสร้างสรรค์ในแง่มุมต่างๆ จึงเกิดการรวมตัวของความหลากหลายนี้เป็น Sapa และนำความหลากหลายของทุกคนมาใช้ในการขับเคลื่อนทุกความสร้างสรรค์ทุกความเป็นไปได้ของเชียงใหม่ให้ไปสู่อนาคต
