Lanna Dance Retreat: Lanna Dance for Healing and Rejuvenation of Body and Mind

When dance is not just a form for entertainment but originates from the worship of what the dancer believes and respects, Lanna dance, in particular, serves as a bridge between the mind, body, and nature. The Lanna Dance for Healing and Rejuvenation is designed for participants to take time to care for their physical and mental health through controlled breathing and movement based on traditional Lanna dance forms.

เมื่อการฟ้อน รำ ไม่ได้เป็นเพียงสื่อเพื่อให้ความบันเทิง แต่การฟ้อนนั้นมีรากฐานจากการบูชาสิ่งที่ผู้ฟ้อนเชื่อ และนับถือ การฟ้อนจึงเป็นการเชื่อมโยงจิตใจ ร่างกาย เข้ากับธรรมชาติ การฟ้อนล้านนาเพื่อการบำบัดและฟื้นฟูนั้น ถูกออกแบบมาให้ผู้เข้าร่วมได้ใช้เวลาดูแลสุขภาพกายและใจของตนเอง ผ่านการกำหนดลมหายใจ และเคลื่อนไหวร่างกายด้วยท่วงท่าการฟ้อนแบบล้านนา

From October 11th to 14th, at the Old Chiangmai Cultural Center, you will enjoy captivating performances and workshops from our four talented artists across three countries in ALaLa Dance Fest.
SIRISOOK Dance Theatre and Khampha Dance (Lanna, Thailand)
Performance: Kew Nang Kaew A story about the ancestral spirit worship culture of the Lanna people, reflecting the complexities of the human mind.
Workshop: Lanna Dance Retreat: Revitalize and heal both body and mind through Lanna dance, using dance movements to exercise the body and regulate breathing.
Performance: Fauwn Leb / Identity: A performance infused with humor, exploring the question, "Why do we perform Fauwn Leb?" and examining the dynamics of artistic and cultural expression in the land of Lanna.
Workshop: Neo Lanna A contemporary take on traditional Lanna dance.
KDA_Bali & Bajranyana Music Theatre (Bali, Indonesia)
Performance: JIWATMA: A spiritual and ritualistic performance exploring the essence of existence "In the boundless expanse of time and space”
Workshops: Clasical Dance: Basics of the traditional Legong dance for women and Baris dance for men.
Workshops: Fusion Balinese Dance: Contemporary Balinese dance.
Ambrita Sunshine (Côte d'Ivoire, West Africa)
Performance: Echoes & Dreams: A world of dreams and memories told through the ritualistic dance of the Ivorian people.
Workshop: Spirit & Movement The Temate Dance of Côte d'Ivoire Learn the rhythms of the Temate dance from Côte d'Ivoire, West Africa.
In addition to that, there will be an interactive dance exhibition featuring "Dance Tatonyon" and a vibrant ethnic food market with over 30 stalls for you to explore and enjoy!
