In this workshop, we will focus on our moods and feelings, using stitching- a rhythmic and meditative tool to process, reflect, and express our emotional landscapes. Through the act of making marks on fabric, participants will explore how simple, repetitive stitches can convey complex emotions, transforming inner feelings into tangible, creative expressions.

About Rafooghar

Rafooghar is a community space in New Delhi where women, who live on the margins and have faced discrimination and social exclusion for years, gather and find space and time for sukoon (peace) and fursat (leisure).  

Here, embroidery, a familiar medium, often dismissed as a trivial pursuit - is used to delve deeper into the themes of identity, agency, and mobility and demonstrate its power as a form of therapy, creative expression and empowerment.
